"O Juliet, I already know thy grief,
It strains me past the compass of my wits.
I hear thou must, and nothing may prorogue it,
On Thursday next be married to this county" (IV.i.46-49)
This quote shows how Friar Lawrence cares about Juliet, and that he is strained by her grief. Although he still says that she should be married next Thursday, he understands how it would cause her pain.
